We are busy planning for our next series of conferences and seminars. As we pin down dates and times we will let you know – but in the meantime here is some information for you as we begin marking on your calendars!
Poverty Symposium – Week of March 25th, 2019
We are pleased to announce the upcoming Poverty Symposium will be held the week of March 25th, 2019 in the Capital Region.
We plan to hold the conference over two days, with the first day tentatively being schedule from 10-4, and a half-day on the second day.
NYSCAA will also schedule an Emerging Leaders Institute session and a Board Meeting that same week, prior to the Symposium itself.
Emerging Leaders Institute
Three seminars will be held for the Emerging Leaders. Sessions will be paired with the Poverty Symposium in March, Meeting of the Minds in May, and the RPIC Region II Conference in September. Interested in applying to become a member of ELI? Applications will be accepted soon!
Five Regional Meetings will be held around NY State. These regional meetings will be coordinated with the Department of State, and run between late April through June 2019.
Professional Development Conference – Week of June 3rd, 2019
NYSCAA’s annual June Professional Development Conference will be held the week of June 3rd, 2019 in the Mid-Hudson Valley. The conference will include the Annual Community Action Awards Ceremony – so start making your list of nominees now!
RPIC Region II Conference
The annual RPIC Region II Conference will be help the week of September 16th. We look forward to working with our Region II partners in New Jersey, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands to create an exciting event! The Emerging Leaders Institute seminar will also be paired with this event.
